San Antonio – Florida Panthers prospect and current AHL San Antonio Rampage forward Scott Timmins was arrested Monday morning after a woman found him asleep on her couch, according to KENS 5, via CBSSports.com. Timmins was allegedly out drinking at a bar with teammates earlier in the evening.
In his drunken stupor, Timmins perhaps thought it was his house…. Aaaah, the old Robert Downey Jr. move… At least he didn’t hop into one of the kids’ beds.
Via KENS 5: The police report states that when Garza’s wife found Timmins sitting on her couch, she asked him who he was, to which he responded, “Don’t worry about that.”
“He was yelling, ‘What are you doing in my house,’” said Benjamin Garza, the owner of the house who was not home at the time of the break-in. “My wife said, ‘You need to get the hell out of here.’” The woman and her kids were able to escape through the back door .
Benjamin Garza reportedly said later when coming face to face with Timmins, “You’re lucky I wa

According to a report from KENS 5, Florida Panthers prospect and San Antonio Rampage player Scott Timmins was arrested on Monday morning for breaking into a home and sleeping on the couch. Florida Panthers prospect and current San Antonio Rampage forward, Scott Timmins, goes hard on his days off. He was arrested on Monday night in San Antonio for allegedly (and drunkenly) breaking into the home of Benjamin Garza, whose wife and three kids found him sleeping like a baby on their living room couch.
Now imagine—just for a minute—that you wake up to find this dude...
Scott Timmins is making the most of his time in San Antonio, getting drunk, passing out on strangers' couches and getting arrested. Ouch.
HOME SWEET HOME
Scott Timmins made it home from the bar after a night of partying with teammates in San Antonio. Unfortunately for the Florida Panthers minor league prospect, the home he made it to was not his.
The old “I thought it was my house” story has made a comeback. Scott Timmins of the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage reportedly went down that road early Monday morning, as KENS 5 in San Antonio is reporting that the 23-year-old broke into a family’s home after leaving a bar and took a seat on the couch. Homeowner Benjamin Garza, who was not home at the time, was none too pleased...
from Pierre LeBrun of ESPN,
The injury-savaged Florida Panthers have to start thinking about next season. Two veteran forwards the Panthers will listen to offers for before April 3 are Kris Versteeg and Tomas Fleischmann.
I don’t think the Panthers are going to shop them, but if other teams call on them, they’ll listen.
Neither player, though, is a rental.
San Antonio Rampage center Scott Timmins has been charged with trespassing after allegedly getting drunk and breaking into a house several blocks from his home.
Officials with the AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers didn't immediately comment Wednesday on the 23-year-old player's status.
A woman called police early Monday to report a stranger on her couch. She and her...
In a condensed NHL season where sellers might be tough to come by, the Florida Panthers are apparently willing to listen to "all offers" now that the team has fallen back in the playoff race.
The report, as seen in the Calgary Sun, mentions that the Panthers are willing to deal just about any player on the roster, excluding Jonathan Huberdeau, Erik Gudbranson, Jakob...
It is no secret that the the Florida Panthers are sellers in a major way, but one player with a large contract right now who may be surprisingly on the move is Brian Campbell. Campbell is viewed as a quarterback of sorts and is still one of the better transitional defensemen in the game with the ability to start rushes with laser precise passes to speedy forwards...
So it should...
SUNRISE, Fla. This was the game Anders Lindback and Jacob Markstrom mimicked during their street hockey games in Sweden.
And like the typical contest held in front of their childhood homes, someone walked away with bragging rights.
Tuesday night was Lindback's turn, only the stakes were higher, as he bested Markstrom in their first meeting on NHL ice.
The Madden Curse is real, the question begs, does it just skip over a player from time to time? Calvin Johnson had a record breaking season, the Lions were terrible, but that is almost every year.
John Madden was out in LA and he believes the curse is now broken, but I still would be a little worried, if I was a NFL player appearing on the cover.

Impressive play on the road has the Montreal Canadiens atop the Eastern Conference.
A bizarre losing streak is partly responsible for the Florida Panthers residing in the East's basement.
The Canadiens look to cap their five-game road trip with a fourth victory Sunday night when they try to sweep the season series...
from QMI Agency at the Toronto Sun,
An AHLer is lucky to be alive after allegedly breaking into a San Antonio home in a drunken stupor early Monday morning before refusing to leave.
"My first instinct was to beat the hell out of him," Benjamin Garza, the home’s owner, told CBS affiliate KENS5 in San Antonio. "(He’s) lucky I wasn't here because I would...
