Duchene update; O’Reilly cements victory in deserving, dramatic fashion

Remarkable performance by Ryan O’Reilly in a very entertaining hockey game tonight at the Pepsi Center, where the Avalanche wins 4-3 on O’Reilly’s blast with 1.2 seconds remaining in overtime. I have an early flight to cover Saturday’s game at St. Louis, so I have to be quick here (I haven’t packed!). Pretty sure I capture the spirit of the thing in tomorrow’s game story in the paper and online. Hint: Selke, as in Frank J. Selke Trophy. O’Reilly MUST be a finalist for the NHL’s defensive-forward-of-the-year award after this incredible game.
