The New Jersey Devils picked up their second straight victory on Friday night with an impressive 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Martin Brodeur was solid in net, stopping 36 of 38 shots. Adam Henrique and Alexei Ponikarovsky scored in regulation for New Jersey and Patrik Elias added the game winner in a shootout.The Devils offense looked strong out of the gate. Patrik Elias had a strong scoring opportunity in the first period that was denied by Jonas Hiller. Martin Brodeur also played spectacular and denied the Ducks on several key scoring opportunities, including two chances from former Devil Rod Pelley. Devils defenseman Kurtis Foster was called for delay of game 9:01 into the period; however, Anaheim missed their only power play opportunity of the first.
