The Anaheim Ducks have acquired center Ryan Kesler from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Nick Bonino, defenseman Luca Sbisa and the No. 24 pick in the 2014 NHL Draft. The Ducks also traded their third-round pick in 2014 (No. 85) and receive the Canucks’ third-round pick in 2015. “This trade reinforces our goal to add youth, support our core players and develop draft picks who will contribute to the future success of our team,”Canucks general manager Jim Benning said in a statement. “Nick Bonino and Luca Sbisa are talented players who immediately bring youth and skill to our roster. An additional first- and third-round pick gives us the opportunity to add two strong players to our system.” The Canucks already own the No. 6 pick in this year’s draft. Kesler, 29, has two years and $10 million ($5 million salary-cap charge) remaining on his contract. Kesler had 25 goals and 43 points in 77 games last season. Bonino, 26, had 49 points in 77 games last season while Sbisa, 24, had six points in 30 games with the Ducks. The post Ducks acquire Ryan Kesler from Canucks appeared first on Sports Glory.
