Francois Beauchemin has signed a three-year, $10.5-million extension with the Anaheim Ducks.The 31-year-old defenseman was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.Beauchemin is averaging a team-high 25:44 of ice time per game, while recording six goals and 12 assists in 45 games this season.The Toronto Maple Leafs traded the blueliner back to Anaheim for a second stint with the team last February in return for Joffrey Lupul and Jake Gardiner.
