Anaheim Ducks forward Jean-Francois Jacques has been suspended for three games by the NHL for his check to the head of Columbus Blue Jackets forward R.J. Umberger on Sunday. Jacques is considered a repeat offender after he was banned once before in September. He is eligible to return Jan. 15 against Vancouver. Jacques delivered an elbow to Umberger at 14:17 of the third period. He was assessed a major penalty for elbowing. The 26-year-old has appeared in six games with the Ducks this season. He owns nine goals and eight assists for his career.
