Found April 04, 2012 on Fox Sports West:
Cam Fowler vowed to do something about that minus-25 mark that was a stain on a promising 10-goal, 40-point rookie season in 2010-11. However, the 20-year-old Ducks defenseman might finish with numbers trending the wrong way as a sophomore. Fowler entered Tuesday night's game against Vancouver with this line: Five goals, 24 assists and a minus-27 rating. The last number left him with the worst plus-minus mark the NHL until he reversed course against the Canucks with a plus-2 mark in a team-high 27-plus minutes of ice time during the Ducks' 5-4, shootout loss. Fowler and his coach, Bruce Boudreau, will tell you that the ugly numbers don't tell the accurate story of a season that's been about further laying the foundation for his career. "Personally, I think I've made tremendous gains in my game," Fowler said. "Coming from last year and even at the beginning of this season, I think I've taken some big steps. "The numbers may not show it...

Wagner, 20 (52791), recently completed his sophomore season with Colgate of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), scoring 17-34=51 points with...

Fowler’s Defensive Woes Continue

Cam Fowler of the Anaheim Ducks was one of the higher profile rookies in the NHL last year.  As an 18 year old he played a significant role with the Ducks.  He showed some offensive prowess scoring 40 points from defence.  The problem was he wasn’t much of a defensive player.  He had the worst team and zone adjusted Corsi rating in the league last year.  Anaheim Duck fans...

A Season To Forget

from Eric Stephens of Ducks Blog, The answer popped out immediately from Ryan Getzlaf‘s mouth when the Ducks’ captain was asked what he’d like to do with his 2011-12 season. “Forget about it,” he said, managing a tired smile. When sifting through the Ducks’ wreckage of a season, Getzlaf’s own mess is right on top of the heap. The big center has gone without injury...

The Mighty and Ultimate Ryan Getzlaf Rookie Swatch.

Another pickup made with Card Draft funds. Just under eight clams. Love the bright swatch and the fact that the jersey piece isn't tiny. The old school Mighty Ducks logo underneath the relic area is just fantastic as well.Numbered 203/250, it's another addition to the Getzlaf Collection. There is an autographed version of the card, which I believe is short-printed to just...

A Tale of Two Goaltenders

Oilers lose 3-2 to Ducks in OT It was only Jeff Deslaurier’s 3rd start with the Anaheim Ducks, but this game may be his most memorable. Playing against his former team, and against the netminder with whom he had competed against and with for the majority of his professional career in Devan Dubnyk,  Deslaurier was the goaltender to walk away with the win.Continue reading "...

Anaheim Ducks vs. Canucks blog: love ’em & hate ‘em

Quack Quack Mr Ducksworth Yes, the switch can be flipped. All the way back in March the Canucks were making some people hit the panic button for the simple fact that the Canucks weren’t hitting it themselves as the team took the most laissez-faire approach to hockey since Vincent de Gournay last fielded a team all the way back in 1755. Now they’ve won seven in a row. This is...
