ANAHEIM, Calif. The Anaheim Ducks announced Friday that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled goaltender Jeff Deslauriers from the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheims primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Deslauriers, 27 (51584), appeared in four preseason contests with Anaheim this season, going 1-1-0 with a 2.27 goals-against average (GAA) and .926 save percentage (SV). He was assigned to Syracuse on Oct. 11. With the Crunch, Deslauriers has played in seven games, going 3-4-0 with a 4.75 GAA and .854 SV.
Signed as a free agent by Anaheim on July 12, 2011, Deslauriers most recently appeared in the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers in 2009-10, posting a 16-28-4 record while compiling a 3.26 GAA and .901 SV. He recorded his first NHL shutout on Nov. 23, 2009, stopping all 36 shots he faced in a 4-0 Edmonton win over Phoenix. Selected by Edmonton in the second round (31st overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Deslauriers appeared in 58 career NHL contests with the Oilers, posting a 3.27 GAA, .901 SV, and three shutouts.
