The Ducks needed to redeem themselves after an uninspiring 6-1 loss to start the season against Colorado.   What a difference a couple days make! A couple of practices and a new attitude merited positive results in Minnesota, a notoriously difficult building to play in.   The 4-3 overtime win was vastly different from Wednesday night's efforts. "Any headline you read was about how bad we were," said coach Bruce Boudreau.  "Pride took over a little bit.  It was a big factor in the game. Getting two goals in the first six minutes also boosted confidence.  Saku Koivu outplayed his brother Mikko and got the first goal of the game at 1:40.  No posts this time.  A power play goal from Nick Bonino at 5:43 took the orange hunting hat wearing crowd out of the game. Zach Parise responded with a power play goal at 11:52 to put the Wild back in the game.  In the second period, Jakob Silfverberg scored his second of the year at 1:19.  Silfverberg was acquired from Ottawa in the Bobby Ryan trade and already appears to be on his way to holding up his end of the bargain in replacing Ryan's 30 plus goals per season.  Dustin Penner, who had been a healthy scratch in game one, worked his way into the line up and earned an assist on the goal. Jason Pominville brought Minnesota back within one goal again at 8:28 of the middle frame.  It was the Wild's second power play goal and the Ducks need to be better when down a man.  Minnesota tied things up early in the third period with Parise's second goal and tied was how things stayed until the end of regulation.  The overtime session could have gone either way.    Both teams had excellent chances and the action went end to end to end.  It was the Ducks who would prevail, however, with Mathieu Perrault getting the game winner with less than :05 seconds remaining before a shootout was necessary. "Even though we didn't play our best game tonight, I thought we came out pretty good," said Francois Beauchemin, who got the assist on the game winner as well as Koivu's goal (that redeemed his -3 rating on Wednesday). There are still parts to be cleaned up and improved, but at least there was momentary redemption.  The Ducks finish up their three game road trip in Winnipeg, where security is already high in anticipation of Teemu Selanne's final on ice visit there.  Because it is the second of back to back games, Selanne was given a day of rest against the Wild so he will have everything in the tank in front of the fans who saw him begin his career there 21 years ago.
