Found May 14, 2013 on Fox Sports:
Two days after Detroit abruptly ended the Anaheim Ducks' season, they still can't believe they're already done for the summer. The second-seeded Ducks expected a long playoff run after winning the Pacific Division with the best points percentage in franchise history. None of it helped in their seven-game loss to the Red Wings. General manager Bob Murray built a potential Stanley Cup contender around cornerstones Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, but he promises the same team won't return in the fall. Murray intends to add more toughness and depth while expecting the Ducks' promising young players to get even better. Teemu Selanne hasn't decided whether he'll be back for a 21st NHL season, and Saku Koivu also plans to wait a few weeks before announcing whether he'll play again.

Ducks still crushed by early exit

Two days after Detroit abruptly ended Anaheim's season, the Ducks were still in disbelief. The preliminary round of the World Hockey Championships concluded yesterday.  Ilya Kovalchuk of Russia leads the tournament with 13 points.  In second in scoring is Petri Kontiola of Finland.  He has 12 points.  This is a bit of a surprise since Kontiola is not an established NHL player.  Kontiola was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2004.  He was 19 years old at the...

Teemu Selanne contemplating his future in the NHL

Have we seen the last of Teemu Selanne in the NHL? Steve Palumbo: Bottom Line: Ducks Didn't Deserve to Win this Series

Anaheim Eliminated by Detroit

The season started so well for the Anaheim Ducks, but the party is over. On Sunday night the Ducks were eliminated by the Detroit Red Wings in game seven by a score of 3-2.  Adios first round.  Adios potential match up with the Los Angeles Kings.   Now the Ducks will begin their off season. “It’s very disappointing," said Teemu Selanne. "We had two chances...

The Red Wings Were A Little Better Than The Ducks

from Helene Elliott of the LA Times, What should have been a memory for the ages — a Game 7, a defining moment every NHL player craves — evolved into a dispirited 3-2 loss for the second-seeded Ducks, who were a step slower and a split-second behind the seventh-seeded Red Wings most of the night. "I don't think anybody expected to come up short," Ducks...
