The Islanders announced this morning the emergency call up of Sound Tigers defensemen Dylan Reese. The call up came in the wake of defenseman Andrew MacDonald suffering a right leg injury in Tuesday’s 2-1 victory in Buffalo.
Reese appeared in 27 games for the Islanders during the 2010-11 season contributing six assists for six points and was a -12. This season in the AHL Reese leads Sound Tigers defenseman in points (12) and is second on the team in assists (10).
MacDonald is listed as day to day.
