Found April 20, 2013 on HockeyBuzz:
PLAYERS: Lindy Ruff
TEAMS: Buffalo Sabres
Not common these days to have one guy holding both spots, but I would think if anyone could pull such a position off it would be Lindy. This does definitely limit the possible destinations for Ruff however..there is also speculation out that Ryan Miller would perhaps be headed to wherever Ruff were to end up....sure going to be an interesting few weeks after the regular season....

Projected 2014 Buffalo Sabres Roster: The Wingers

After the centers were announced on Wednesday, it’s time to get into the men who flank the pivots. The Sabres aren’t too deep at wing in the system, and they get a bit thinner heading into 2013/2014. It’s time to decide who stays and who goes on the outside. Again, this is based on who’s in the system and doesn’t consider who the team may bring in via trade and/or free...

Time For Ryan Miller To Move On

from Jerry Sullivan of the Buffalo News, Three years ago, he was the MVP of the Olympics and nearly carried the Americans to the gold medal against Canada. It was a heady time for Miller and for Buffalo. I felt Miller had arrived as one of the world’s elite goalies, capable of leading the Sabres on a long Stanley Cup ride. In retrospect, it seems like an emotional overreaction...

GARTH: Bronx Cheer

For the umpteenth time this forgettable season, Buffalo Sabres fans serenaded Ryan Miller with Bronx cheers and passionate boos inside First Niagara Center on Friday night. I'm not going to lie. It was an ugly situation. Miller was the dart board for the verbal projectiles that were thrown at him by the gallery gods in his own building. I've been in attendance for hundreds...

Sabres Playoff Hopes Crushed After Blowout Loss To Rangers

It’s over. Any hopes the Buffalo Sabres had of reaching the postseason this year came crashing down in embarrassing fashion as the New York Rangers pummeled Buffalo 8-4 to officially eliminate the Sabres from playoff contention with three games to go. GARTH: Ott Wants Jets To Feel The Way He Feels

Buffalo's playoff hopes ended on Friday night when they were thrashed by the NY Rangers on home ice. The eighth place Rangers pasted the New Jersey Devils on Sunday afternoon, thus ending the the playoff hopes of yet another Eastern Conference team. Steve Ott and the Sabres are in spoiler mode right now. The Sabres will host the ninth place Winnipeg Jets on Monday night. The jets now...

Goal breakdown: Rangers win a sloppy one in Buffalo

Sorry this is late folks. As I said last night, none of us were available and I DVR’d the game to do the breakdown this morning. Problem was there were 12 effing goals to break down. Luckily, these goals were easy to break down, as the miscues or bounces were very obvious. This was a very sloppy game all around, but the Rangers took advantage of more mistakes, more defensive miscues...

Game 44 Open Thread: Rangers at Sabres

(Photo: Anthony Gruppuso, USA TODAY Sports) The first forechecking look the Sabres give is the 2-1-2 forecheck. However, in certain game situations (i.e., the score, time left in a period, etc.) they tend to switch to a slightly more conservative 2-3 lock. This system also sends two forecheckers into the zone like the 2-1-2, but the third forward sits back with the defense up...
