There are plenty of hockey experts out there who can tell you all sorts of details on tough guys floating around the NHL & AHL. What we know is that, according to his Twitter account, we’re scared sh*tless of this Steve MacIntyre guy. He’s the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins enforcer after spending some time this year with the Pittsburgh Penguins. So yeah, Sunday was an enforcer night for Steve.

He jumped a goalie & wanted to fight everyone.

Premise of Video: (via) The circumstances surrounding MacIntyre’s encounter with Dainton began in the second period when Springfield’s Greg Amadio, a rugged defenseman, fought winger Geoff Walker, one of the Penguins’ top goal scorers. Later in the period, Penguins heavyweight Steve MacIntyre confronted Amadio and cross-checked him, but Amadio was apparently unwilling to fight. In the scrum that followed, MacIntyre pulled off Dainton’s mask and punched him in the head a few times.

Climax of Video: Just listen to the broadcaster. Classic sh*t right there, fellas.

Conclusion: Guess who won the game? Yep, MacIntyre’s team. Want to see the baddest Twitter avatar in hockey history? Go look at Steve and his boys holding guns. Gary Bettman’s worst nightmare.

Pens’ Malkin scores 500th career point Sunday

Yesterday was a great day for the Penguins on the ice, but it was extra good for Hart Trophy hopeful Evgeni Malkin.  He scored his 500th career point yesterday (and added 501 & 502 just for good measure).  Malkin now has 196 goals and 306 assists in the 413 games of his NHL career.  I would say it’s very likely that we will see Malkin get 200 goals this year.  He is having...

Letang rumored to return against the Rangers

Sidney Crosby might not be the only one that could be back in the Penguins lineup tomorrow.  It’s rumored that Kris Letang, who was out for the last several games with a recurrence of concussion like symptoms, could dress for Thursday’s showdown with the Rangers.  The return of Letang would be a huge boost for the power play and would virtually complete the Penguins’ season...

Crosby’s return makes Pens team to beat

There are currently four teams that have more points than the Pittsburgh Penguins. Don’t let the standings fool you. With Sidney Crosby returning to the lineup, the Penguins are undoubtedly the NHL’s team to beat. The current winning streak the Penguins are on – nine games, by the way – is fascinating. Their level of competition hasn’t been great, but winning that many...

Sidney Crosby's Return Tips Balance of Power Toward Pittsburgh, Makes Cup Quest Tougher for Bruins, Rangers

Things just got a little more interesting atop the Eastern Conference. The long-awaited return of Sidney Crosby has been set for Thursday. That just so happens to be the same night Pittsburgh faces the team it's trying to chase down for the No. 1 seed in the East. The Penguins visit New York on Thursday to take on the Rangers. Pittsburgh has pulled within four points of New York...

VIDEO: Steve MacIntyre of the AHL attacks goalie twice

Crosby linemate options should be clear

We all know it's any day now we will witness the second coming of Sidney Crosby. But when 87 returns, who will be on his wings?Obviously the line of James Neal, Evgeni Malkin and Chris Kunitz has been one of, if not the top line in the NHL. Adding a player like Crosby into a line like that sounds promising, but it's the wrong move. Why would you want to break up the chemistry...

Sidney Crosby set to return Thursday vs. Rangers

It will be an immense day for the National Hockey League on Thursday, when the game's best player is planning to return. Since January 1st, 2010, more than a year ago, Sidney Crosby has played only 9 games. He tried to make a comeback earlier this season but went back to the injured reserve when his concussion-like symptoms returned."I feel good, and the plan is to play...

Penguins reel off ninth consecutive victory

James Neal and All-Star Evgeni Malkin secured their respective milestones amid three-point performances as the host Pittsburgh Penguins posted their season-best ninth straight victory by dumping the Boston Bruins 5-2. The pair assisted on defenseman Matt Niskanen's first-period tally for Neal's 200th career point and Malkin's 500th. Neal finished with one goal and two...

John Toperzer: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the Kid

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the Kid Follow me on Twitter @JohnToperzer Since Pens GM Ray Shero’s proclamation that the Penguins would make the playoffs after a 1-0 loss to the Capitals on Jan. 11, Pittsburgh holds a 21-4-1 record. Evgeni Malkin has been named a No. 1 star in eight games, Marc-Andre Fleury in six and James Neal, two. Maybe Shero shouldâ...

Malkin not disciplined

Another questionable hit on a Boston Bruins by a Pittsburgh Penguin and another Penguin escapes punishment by the NHL. So basically, don't expect a player to get suspended if they hit a Boston Bruin with a questionable hit. I could see how Boston Bruins fans might question the NHL and their judgement. Also, I think that Brendan Shanahan is basically a fraud and no better...

Ty Anderson: Injuries mount, Turco, and the Sensitivity towards Shanahan

Sunday's game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and visiting Boston Bruins was over just seven minutes into it. First came Arron Asham beating the exhausted-looking Tim Thomas off a rebound. Then it was Matty Niskanen's fourth of the year that trickled through the 37-year-old's legs. Oh, you wanted some salt on that wound? Here, have an Adam McQuaid injury. But just when...

John Toperzer: Physical Penguins drop Bruins 5-2. Malkin gets point #500

By Ryan Wilson (Gunner Staal) Find me on twitter here: Apparently John will be away for one more day. He gets treated to a Pirates/Phillies game on his final day in FLA. ************************* The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Boston Bruins 5-2 yesterday at the Consol Energy Center. From the opening faceoff the Penguins played about as well of a first period...
