PLAYERS: Ryan Miller
TEAMS: Buffalo Sabres

The team has earned points in the last five games including a 5-1 win against the Sabres. Admittedly it was against the Sabres without Ryan Miller, but we will take it. Seeing Nash, Carter and Lupul heat up is a good sign. It won't last forever, but at least they're entertaining. Oh by the way, I guess the Sanford for mayor campaign kicks off soon. Don't break a leg jumping off the Mason bandwagon, folks. Remember it's a long season.

from Kevin Snow at the Buffalo Sabres website, An optimistic Ryan Miller said today that he plans to skate as the third goalie at Tuesday’s morning skate, and is targeting Wednesday as his first full practice since being injured in a collision with Milan Lucic on November 12. Miller skated lightly and stopped a few pucks prior to today’s practice. Afterwards he spoke...

GARTH: Miller Making Progress

If all goes according to plan, Ryan Miller may be on the ice at Sabres practice on Wednesday morning. The former Vezina winner hasn't played since being freight trained by Milan Lucic on November 12. Miller took some shots from teammates before the Sabres practiced on Monday. Miller updated his progress after the tam skated....

Rapid Rewind: Blasted in Buffalo

BUFFALO - The Washington Capitals lost their second consecutive game on Saturday night, falling 5-1 inside First Niagara Center.  Jason Chimera scored the lone Caps goal on a penalty shot in a game that Washington was thoroughly dominated in from start to finish and never had a chance in.  Is this rock bottom?  It could be close. The Capitals got off to another poor start in...

Sometimes Hockey is Awesome

-- As I mentioned before, I got a lot of great responses to my post about cutting back on social media and really, media in general. One of the most interesting conversations I had about it was with Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News. Mike and I have had many good conversations over the past few years, and he seemed both interested and perplexed by the idea. If anyone has a love...

Blue Suede Shoes

The Jackets came to play tonight and they walked right on over the Buffalo Sabres. Buffalo fans...thanks for the goals, the 2 points and your $$. 1. First ice cold beer goes to a man that didn't even register a point in tonight's 5-1 win and that is Vinny Prospal. It's nice to actually type this and really mean it but Vinny, it has been an absolutely pleasure watching...

Ryan Miller isn’t sure Milan Lucic concussed him anymore

One of the truly deplorable things about the NHL's supplemental discipline process is when injuries are politicized; like, for example, hastily reporting the severity of an injury with the hope that an opposing player would be punished for it. Since the NHL takes injuries into account when doling out punishment, the process invites it. So before any official decision was handed...

Just pathetic

There's nothing positive to say about the Caps right now. They got smacked around in Toronto 7-1 when the Leafs had seven players out and they just finished getting trounced by the AHL Buffalo Sabres, 5-1. The Sabres have nine players out. GMGM talks about Mike Green's injury as if it's the only thing wrong with the Caps. I'm so sick of excuses from this organization...
