Nicklas Lidstrom has won 7 Norris Trophies in the last 11 years and is undoubtedly the best Swedish defenseman to ever play the game. The Senators defenseman is on pace for 74 points, and leads the league in points for defensemen.Karlsson is in his third NHL season, and has already made his first all-star team. He collected more votes than any other player in the NHL with 939,591. He will be starting the all-star game alongside his teammates Daniel Alfredsson, Milan Michalek, Jason Spezza and Leafs blue-liner Dion Phaneuf and Bruins netminder Tim Thomas.Karlsson logs an average of more than 25 minutes per contest and has helped the "all-star" Senators sit in 5th place in the East at the midway mark of the season.A post from partner site talkhockey.ca
