Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record was able to speak with some Rangers participants of tonight's Operation Hat Trick charity hockey game in Atlantic City on the atmosphere... “I think it will get intense,” Rangers defenseman Steve Eminger said. “I think it’s a different feeling than an All-Star type game. There’s not going to be hitting or fighting. But I think because we’ve been away from the game so long, a natural kind of fight in guys is going to get intense.” ...when you have participants from the Rangers, Flyers, Devils and Islanders who include Asham, Clarkson, Carcillo and Shelley playing for the first time in about six months, I definitely agree with Eminger that the competitive juices will be flowing in this one. Brian Boyle adds...  “As players, as guys itching to get that competition back, it’s a great opportunity for us to get out there and have a spirited game.” Despite the anticipated intensity, the real reason for the game hasn't been lost on the players as Eminger adds... “It’s kind of like a trickle effect. We help and then other people help and get involved and everyone kind of is coming together. It goes a long way for the people affected that they’re getting all this help from a whole group in general, not just us players.” Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at nyrfan94@yahoo.com.
