The Calgary Flames had been playing well of late, making their most recent loss to one of the league's worst teams all the more surprising. In the midst of a seven-game road trip, Calgary looks to get back on track with its ninth victory in 11 tries over the Ottawa Senators on Friday night. The Flames (18-16-4) had won four straight - including victories over Detroit and Vancouver - prior to a 3-1 loss Thursday to the New York Islanders, who occupy last place in the Eastern Conference. Calgary hadn't allowed more than two goals during its winning streak. Tim Jackman scored less than two minutes into the game, but the Flames couldn't hold the lead and gave up the winning goal early in the third period. "Our compete level wasn't at the level where it needs to be,'' coach Brent Sutter said.
