That's six. I hate to think what the farmer's new bride would do to the person who crossed her six times, but I'm sort of relieved that the Sharks got this out of the way. If they were mystified about why they lost again, after doing so many things so much better, well, it could not have happened any other way. Once they lost five, the sixth loss was going to will itself into being no matter what.  That's a good thing, it means that this season isn't last season, it's more like the two seasons before the 2011-12 black hole. TJ Galiardi, Adam Burish, and Martin Havlat... What in the world happened while I was testing out America One Sports? When I said the Sharks should just play their game, just go out there and do what they know how to do, I wasn't including Todd McLellan in that freestyle instruction. On the other hand, putting that line together touched on something I've been wondering about for years now: why have a traditional fourth line? Co...

San Jose goalie's new mask is horrifying

This is the new headgear for Sharks goalie Thomas Greiss. I have no clue what in the world that demon creature is supposed to be. Is it a zombie? Is it a werewolf? Is it a zombie werewolf? Maybe Ryane Clowe having a bad day? All I do know is my pants are now a little more damp than they were. [photo via @kkurzcsn]

Huh? San Jose Sharks get 6 RBI and 2 HR from two players, still lose? (pic)

Come on, San Jose Sharks. What gives? Graphical errors during sports broadcasts are not a new phenomenon. And while said errors are perfectly understandable in light of the time crunch those charged with putting them together in order to air a competent, informative broadcast, they are nevertheless amusing when they do occur. Take the one above from the postgame coverage of the San...

Can The Sharks Play “Pissed Off” Hockey?

from David Pollak of Working the Corners at the Mercury News, Todd McLellan doesn’t want his team to forget about what happened in that 6-2 embarrassment in Columbus on Monday night when they face the Nashville Predators tonight. “I want them to be pissed off. I want them to be mad. I want them to be upset,” McLellan said after a team meeting that lasted 20-25 minutes...

Another Typical Day Watching San Jose

The ATP 250 tournament currently called the SAP Open, and currently hosted in San Jose, California, has been in continuous operation in some form since 1889, making it the second oldest tennis tournament in the United States. The current edition will be its last. Next year the tournament relocates to Memphis. One would hope that in its final year the SAP Open would make a strenuous...
