According to a report from KENS 5, Florida Panthers prospect and San Antonio Rampage player Scott Timmins was arrested on Monday morning for breaking into a home and sleeping on the couch.  Timmins is accused of breaking into the home of Benjamin Garza after a night out with his teammates, but Garza was not home when his wife and three children found Timmins sleeping on the couch. KENS 5 reports: The police report states that when Garza’s wife found Timmins sitting on her couch, she asked him who he was, to which he responded, “Don’t worry about that.” “He was yelling, ‘What are you doing in my house,’” said Garza. “My wife said, ‘You need to get the hell out of here,’” added Garza. She was able to escape through a back door with her kids. Benjamin Garza said that it is a good thing that Timmins wasn’t home when he came home because he said that when he faced Timmins he told him, “You’re lucky I wasn’t here because I would’ve put a bullet between your eyes and it would’ve been over for you.” Obviously threatening to kill someone is just as serious as breaking and entering and I don’t see this situation going away anytime soon.  Timmins is a 2009 6th round pick by the Florida Panthers but has been playing for their AHL team the San Antonio Rampage.  Through 50 games, the forward prospect has nine goals and seven assists.  Timmins has only played in one NHL game so far, which was on February 26th against the Pittsburgh Penguins. If this situation plays out the way I think it will play out, I don’t think Timmins will be playing in the NHL anytime soon. [CBS Sports]
