PHILADELPHIA -- Kurtis Foster, Danny Briere and Claude Giroux scored power-play goals to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night. Mike Knuble and Brayden Coburn also had goals for the Flyers, who are 23-4-4 against Carolina since Nov. 28, 2003. Coming off a 1-0 victory over Ottawa on Friday night, the Hurricanes were shaky from the start. They got goals from Patrick Dwyer, Joni Pitkanen and Eric Staal. Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov made 39 saves to help Philadelphia improve to 3-6. The Flyers were just 5 of 40 on the power play before scoring on their first three chances. Goals by Coburn and Briere just 58 seconds apart gave the Flyers a 3-1 lead in the first period. Coburn skated along with Jakub Voracek during an odd-man rush and put a rebound into an open net after Ellis stopped Voracek's slap shot.
