Successful third period comebacks have not been a recent Flyers specialty. With their comeback win in overtime over the New York Islanders last night, Philly has now won twice in 29 tries since the start of last season (1-6-0 this season, 1-16-5 last year) when trailing after two periods.
Frankly, the Flyers probably wouldn't have won this one, either, if Sergei Bobrovsky...

Jakub Voracek also scored for the Flyers, who got all of their offense in the second period. Bobrovsky improved to 5-1-1. Giroux now has 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) on the season.

One of my favorite Flyers traditions is their annual afternoon Black Friday game. This year played at 3pm, the Flyers will play the Montreal Canadiens in their second matchup of the season.

The always physical matchup definitely started off with a bang. Four seconds into the game, Zac Rinaldo and Brandon Prust dropped the gloves. Avery and Simmonds had words as well, which is not surprising due to their previous incident.
