Flyers come up with improbable 2-0 advantage heading back home
I was watching the Phillies last night in a loss to the Mets and saw that the Sixers were going down against the Nets.
Then I switched to the Flyers after the Phillies game.
The game was tied 5-5 and whew, I knew the Penguins were good.
Then it happened.
Jaromire Jagr turned 180 against his old club, let his only shot on goal go and the puck found its way past Marc Andre Fluery to the net for a 6-5 lead.
Then what happen next, well, usually only happens in Vegas.
Sean Couturier collected his hat trick next, then when Claude Giroux got an empty netter, he had the hat trick, too.
Double, double, double.
Courturier, Giroux and the Flyers.
Two hat tricks and a 2-0 lead coming out of Pittsburgh.
Flyers win 8-5.
This thing could be over Wednesday night.
They are in the driver’s seat.
I figure the Penguins are too good, too proud and find a way to win Sunday night.
The Flyers win Wednesday to send it back ...
