The Philadelphia Flyers have sent out qualifying offers to four of their six restricted free agents, this according to Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post. Defensemen Erik Gustafsson, Brandon Manning, Oliver Lauridsen, and left-wing Eric Wellwood have received qualifying offers. Defenseman Blake Kessel and center Mitch Wahl did not—and will not—receive a qualifying offer and thus will become unrestricted free agents effective 12:00p.m. New York time on 5 July.
Qualifying offers come in two forms—one-way and two-way. One-way qualifying offers include a single salary to be paid regardless of whether the player plays in the NHL or AHL. Two-way qualifying offers include two salaries, one to be paid if the player plays in the NHL and...
