Simon Gagne on the Flyers, Tuukka Rask between the pipes...where have we seen this before?
Consider this the week from hockey hell for the Flyers. After having to face the Rangers - and falling with little effort in a 4-2 loss - the Flyers had the Penguins down and out. They failed to finish and lost that game too.
It has been the mantra of the 2013 Philadelphia Flyers: another two points lost.
But keep in mind this team has 23 games remaining to simply get into the playoffs. They made the Stanley Cup Final in 2010 by getting in on the last day. The Los Angeles Kings won the Cup by being an eight-seed a year ago.
Perhaps that's the story of the Flyers. But a lot of work would need to be done to see it through.
To say the Flyers have struggled of late is an understatement. Aside from the first period against the Pens on Thursday, they haven't even shown up lately. That's the perfect formula to be playing with headed to Boston for their first meeting of the season wit...

BOS puts Chris Bourque on waivers.
— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) March 7, 2013
A.B. After playing 18 games for the Boston Bruins and logging a substantial amount of time on the power play, Chris Bourque has tallied just 4 points (3 assists, 1 goal). Today, as Bob McKenzie from TSN is reporting, the Bruins have seen enough. And while Bourque will take a roster spot for the Bruins’...
The Boston Bruins may have help on the way. A report from Darren Dreger states that the Bruins are working to bring in 27-year-old Carl Soderberg to the NHL after the Swedish Elite playoffs conclude.
Look out Eastern Conference. The Bruins may have found their final piece of the puzzle all without having to make a trade.
Unfamiliar with Carl Soderberg? Here's what you...
The Bruins look to be shaking things up, and it shouldn't come as much surprise as to where they started.
The Bruins have placed third-line forward Chris Bourque on waivers, the club announced Thursday afternoon. That means the rest of the league has the chance to claim him, and if he's not picked up, he can be sent to Providence of the AHL.
TSN's Bob McKenzie was the...
The frustration was apparent after the final horn as the Flyers blew a 4-1 lead against the Penguins, falling 5-4.
On Feb. 15, the Flyers led the New Jersey Devils, 3-1, after one period of play before squandering it away.
That may have been the worse loss of the season until tonight when the Flyers found a way to top it.
They controlled the play in the first 20 minutes against...

The Boston Bruins have had plenty of chances for revenge since their historic meltdown against the Philadelphia Flyers, and they've usually taken advantage.
Tuukka Rask, however, hasn't gotten one yet.
If Rask is in net for Boston on Saturday against the struggling Flyers, it would be his first appearance versus Philadelphia since Game 7 of the teams' memorable 2010...
Tyler Seguin had two goals and an assist and Patrice Bergeron had one of each on Thursday night to lead the Boston Bruins to a 4-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Anton Khudobin stopped 25 shots for Boston, which blew leads in each of its previous two games and lost both.
David Krejci also scored for Boston, and Brad Marchand had a pair of assists. With the win, the Bruins...
Tyler Seguin scored his third goal in two games and the Boston Bruins added two more in a span of just over 2 minutes in a 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
Tuukka Rask made 23 saves in his second shutout of the season as the Bruins won the first of three meetings with Philadelphia.
Goals scored by Seguin, Chris Kelly and Daniel Paille in the first period were all...
It took a huge comeback and the Flyers disappearing for the final 40 minutes, but a win is a win is a win. The Flyers are usually on the good end of these ******** games, but tonight it was the Pens.
Recap in the A.M.
Before the Pac-12 season tipped off, UCLA head coach Ben Howland said he thought it would take until the last weekend of the regular season to be decided.
Entering the last Saturday of the regular season, UCLA is still alive and can clinch at least a share of the Pac-12 regular season title at Washington on Saturday.
It's been a remarkably different year for the Bruins than...
PREVIEW 3:45 AM EST
Facing another must-win game against one the top clubs in the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia Flyers (11-13-1) will try to shake off blown winnable games against the Rangers and Penguins as they to travel New England to take on the Boston Bruins (15-3-3). The game starts at 1 p.m. EST and will be broadcast locally on CSN Philly and nationally on NHL Network...
Nice win by the Boston Bruins after two disappointing losses. The game wasn't perfect and they made a comfortable two goal lead turn into a nailbiter one goal lead but the Bruins did what they couldn't do against Montreal and Washington -- shut the door and lock it down.
We feel like we say this every post-game recap but what a game by the "second line"...
