Buzz On Broad:
Trade talks have been heating up in the last week or so, especially in Colorado. The Avalanche's young and versatile center is looking to get out of Colorado. With several teams interested, right now the top suitors are Rangers, Maple Leafs and Flyers.
Colorado has kicked the tires on Sean Couturier as the other piece to the trade. O'Reilly is 22 years old, Couturier is 20.

As the junior and hockey college seasons are coming down the final stretch, many Philadelphia Flyers prospects are trying to making a lasting impact on their 2012-13 season.
In relief for starting goalie Jake Patterson, Anthony Stolarz had an impressive showing for the London Knights...
Are the Philadelphia Flyers back in form to make a run at the playoffs? Not yet. Sorry Flyers fans one offensive explosion is not going to convince anyone that the Broad Street Bullies are back in playoff form. What they did against the Islanders, Monday afternoon, was spectacular. Sean Couturier limited the Islanders best player and goal scorer, John Tavares, to two shots...
NHLTags: Claude GirouxDanny BriereSimon GagneWith a 6-9-1 record, the Philadelphia Flyers are not that far out of playoff contention in the shortened NHL season that it’s time to “panic.”
Following ugly losses against New Jersey and Montreal, though, there are clearly fundamental issues with the club that need to be addressed if they...
The Flyers have lost two straight games going into Monday’s Presidents Day matinee against the Islanders who, have conversely, won their last two games. If the Flyers have playoff aspirations they’d better start getting some points in the standings soon […]
“It’s unacceptable the way we played tonight. It’s not just two or three guys, it’s the whole team. We didn’t show up”. Claude Giroux, captain of the Philadelphia Flyers, called his team out with these vituperative words after a 4-1 […]

Drinking for tonight's Flyers/Penguins game? As we all know, these two teams hate each other, which always makes us fans want to drink and watch the game.
Below is a Philadelphia Flyers Power Hour, which is a drinking game for those who didn't know. While the video may be a little outdated as it was made six...
Ilya Bryzgalov has given the Flyers a chance to win every game this season.
I also believe that he and he alone has given the defense a chance to get its act together and the penalty kill a chance to do it, as well.
The PK has made huge strides in the last two weeks. It's killed off 21 of 21 opponent power plays over the past six games.

The Philadelphia Flyers took a month's worth of frustrations out on the New York Islanders yesterday, massacring their Atlantic Division rivals by a 7-0 score and limiting them to 19 shots for the game. While it is only the first step in the road to recovery of the shortened season, Philly could hardly have drawn up a better outcome to the Presidents' Day matinee at the Nassau...
On a President's Day matinee, the Flyers went into Long Island coming off a dreadful weekend. The Flyers were still looking to find their groove, while the Islanders have actually played well in their last few games.
Well, Claude Giroux led his team to a 7-0 shutout win. The win is the largest shutout margin in the New York Islanders' history. Here are the highlights:

In the wake of yet another disappointing performance and yet another loss, there is a lot of unrest both within the Philadelphia Flyers and throughout the team's fanbase. The team has played more games (16) than any other club in the NHL, and wakes up this morning in 12th place in the Eastern Conference.
Last night's 4-1 loss in Montreal dropped the Flyers to 6-9-1 on...
While it remains to be seen if the Flyers can build on the momentum of what coach PeterLaviolette called “a complete game”, fans at least have to feel better in the short term about their team after Philadelphia’s dismantling of the Islanders Monday afternoon, 7-0.
The Flyers (7-9-1) set the tone early, with Claude Giroux scoring twenty-six seconds...
Matt Moulson: when you win it seems you get so much more credit than you deserve and when you lose you probably get reprimanded more than you deserve, so it goes both ways.â
Moulson should hold onto those words for tomorrowâs afternoon tilt against the Flyers. Historically the Isles do not fare well against the Flyers, but that could possibly change tomorrow. The...
