Philadelphia Flyers left wing Scott Hartnell fell for a worthy cause.
Prior to Sunday's All-Star Game, Hartnell vowed to donate $1,000 for every time he hit the ice.
Well, Hartnell unofficially fell four times during the exhibition and will sign a $4,000 check for charity.
In fact, Flyers teammate Claude Giroux did his best to get Hartnell off his feet - despite the fact that both were members of Team Alfredsson.
"Giroux was trying to trip me on the faceoffs," Hartnell said. "He got me down during warmups once."

The Flyers and their fans received some good news today. Danny Briere, Jaromir Jagr, Zac Rinaldo, and JVR all participated in practice today. None of their statuses changed, but it definitely is good news that they returned to the ice. More here.

In their first game after the NHL All-Star break, the Flyers (29-14-5) will take on the Winnipeg Jets (22-22-6) tonight at the Wells Fargo Center. The game starts at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast locally on CSN Philadelphia.
