- Flyers defenseman Matt Walker returned to practice Monday. Walker, recovering from hip surgery, returned for the first time without wearing a non-contact jersey. Walker was acquired during the off-season from the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Simon Gagne deal.  Walker’s return helps bolster the blue-line, but also makes it a bit crowded. The odd man out could be Oscar Bartulis, that is until Chris Pronger returns.  - It’s no secret the Flyers are looking to upgrade at the forward position.  Failure to land former Devils Captain Jamie Langenbrunner hasn’t ended GM Paul Holmgren’s search. One of the recent names to pop up in trade rumors is former Flyer Scottie Upshall.  - All-Star game participants will be announced Tuesday, a handful of Flyers could be among those chosen.
