The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have recalled 5-11, 180-lb LW Eric Wellwood from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, according to general manager Paul Holmgren.  Wellwood will be available for the club’s game at Washington on Sunday night and will wear #47.

This is the fourth recall of the season for Wellwood, who turns 22 on Tuesday.  He has appeared in five NHL games, recording a goal and two assists for three points while gathering a plus-6 rating.  He also appeared in three games for the Flyers during the 2010-11 season.
