Rookie Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds scored twice and Danny Briere notched four assists as the Philadelphia Flyers rolled to a 7-1 victory to extend the Toronto Maple Leafs' franchise-record home losing skid to 11 games.

Jakub Voracek and rookie Matt Read collected a goal and an assist apiece and Jaromir Jagr recorded three assists for the Flyers, who moved to within two points of Pittsburgh for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. The Penguins dropped a 5-3 decision to the New York Islanders on Thursday.

With Ilya Bryzgalov nursing a chipped fracture in his right foot, Sergei Bobrovsky wasn't tested much in his first start since March 11. He finished with 16 saves as the Flyers won for the 11th time in 14 contests.

Jonas Gustavsson was helped off the ice after he was hit by a shot in the left knee during warmups. Jussi Rynnas, who was recalled on an emergency basis due to an upper body injury to James Reimer, made his first career NHL start and yielded seven goals on 30 shots.

After Schenn opened the scoring at 5:34, he doubled the advantage after tapping in a brilliant feed from Briere to complete a 2-on-1 rush.

Mikhail Grabovski trimmed the deficit back to one after converting a breakaway with 5:44 left in the first period, but Simmonds and Read scored just over eight minutes apart in the second to essentially seal the win.

Toronto fans, some of whom wore paper bags on their heads, began cheers of "Let's go Blue Jays!" in protest of the Leafs' struggles.
