The Flyers are in Buffalo, New York tonight where they will take on former Flyer Ville Leino and his Buffalo Sabres in a rematch of last year's first round playoff matchup.

The Flyers came out on top after seven games, but it was Ville Leino's goal in overtime that kept the Flyers' season alive. Video of the classic moment after the jump.

Leino is off to a slow start (4 points in 10 games), but the emotional factor may lead to his first breakout game of the season. Leino will also be playing on a line with red hot Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville. Vanek is tied with Claude Giroux for second in the National Hockey League in points (15), and Pominville is right behind them with a total of 14 points.

Kimmo Timonen and Scott Hartnell had dinner with Leino last night in Buffalo. There’s no word on who paid the bill, but with Leino’s big contract with Buffalo (6 years, $27 million), they all make enough to foot the bill.

The Flyers are coming off of a 5-1 win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night. Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov looked much better in net after saying he was “lost in the woods” just two nights before. The Flyers’ offense was present once again as well, with their 5 goals propelling them to a league-leading 41 on the season.

The Flyers are averaging 3.37 goals a game, which is second in the NHL, but are also allowing an unacceptable 3.27 goals per game.

The team’s power play is still ranked in the Top 10 in the NHL, despite struggling somewhat in the past few games. However, with Buffalo’s strong penalty kill unit, it will be an interesting matchup on special teams when the Flyers are on the man-advantage tonight. The Sabres are the second-ranked PK unit in the NHL, killing 91.9 percent of power plays this season (34 of 37) and 22 of the last 23.
