Former Avs grinder Mark Rycroft pulling Denver-Springs hockey doubleheader

TV/radio analyst extraordinaire Mark Rycroft, the former DU star and NHLer, is having a good day. He’s in the Altitude studio booth right now working the Avalanche game. Tonight he will join funnyman Jay Stickney in the DU radio booth at the Colorado Springs World Arena, where the Pioneers complete a home-and-home series with the Tigers. Rycroft also worked Friday’s 2-0 CC victory at Magness Arena. I worked that game too, and told him I was going to make his doubleheader my “what you might have missed.” Instead, I’ll put it here for perhaps the most talented up-and-coming hockey broadcaster in the country. Rycker, of course, played with the Avs in 2006-07 and sat beside Ian Laperriere in the locker room. Rycker and Lappy were cut from the same cloth. Beauties.
