Most NHLers use the off season to unwind, spend time with family and perhaps go on a much needed vacation. Four members of the Philadelphia Flyers decided to try their hand at acting. Ian Laperriere, Matt Carle, James van Riemsdyk and Scott Hartnell traveled to Los Angeles last month to shoot a scene for a new film by Judd Apatow. For those that don’t know, Apatow is behind such titles as “The Forty-Year-Old Virgin,” “Superbad,” and “Knocked Up.” The four Flyers have speaking roles and a scene where they all dance. When asked by PhiladelphiaFlyers.com about the dancing scene Ian Laperriere had this to say, “I will award myself the title of worst dancer. JVR and Hartsy had some moves. Matty Carle is a little more my type; a stiffer dancer just like me.
