Who the heck is he? Is the guy any good? Is he going to bring us grit and size and Stanley Cup rings? A member of the 2014 USA men's Olympic team, Brooks Orpik is a 33-year-old defenseman currently playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins. To the manner born, Orpik was named after Miracle on Ice coach Herb Brooks who led the Americans to victory over the Soviet Union just months prior to his birth. Orpik was drafted 18th overall in 2000 by the Pittsburgh Penguins (where he's remained ever since) after three seasons at Boston College. He was a member of their 2009 Cup-winning squad. What's good for the Oilers?  Brooks Orpik is 6'2 and 219 pounds, and unlike a few of my previously profiled defensemen, he actually plays up to his size.
