Over the past three days, Dylan Hicks and I have previewed three of the four teams in the NCAA Frozen Four. We now come to the last team, the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Quinnipiac Bobcats. The boys from Hamden are one of two Connecticut teams in the Frozen Four, which still sounds weird to say. But if Quinnipiac and Yale – which are 15 minutes apart down I-91 – meet for the national title, it will be an exciting and tense night in New Haven County.

How they got here: Despite an early exit from the ECAC Tournament, the Quinnipiac Bobcats, who went on an incredible 21-game unbeaten streak during the season, earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, which placed them in the advantageous Providence Region against Atlantic Hockey’s surprising champion Canisius.
