In 2012, Gabriel Landeskog was named captain of the Colorado Avalanche at 19-years old, making him the youngest captain ever in the history of the NHL. Fast forward to a pre-season scrimmage in 2013 and we find out that he is certainly not the captain of goal celebrations.
Landeskog was awarded a penalty shot in the Avalanche’s annual Bergundy-White intra-squad scrimmage, which he managed to bury top shelf like a bawse. Roy also changed a couple of line combinations for Tuesday's practice sessions...
Avalanche head coach Patrick Roy has seen plenty of physical play and intensity in scrimmages in the first three days of training camp, perhaps none more so than in Saturday's final scrimmage at the Family Sports Center in Centennial, Colo.
Tempers flared a couple of times between Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog and Steve Downie after some hard hits and perhaps a trip...
