Habs, PK Subban has always been a pain in the ass, hopefully the Bruins  show him who's boss Wednesday night we may see one of the greatest games this season when the Bruins travel up to Montreal to face their best friends the Habs. Montreal is no joke this year, well as of now. They own a 6-2-0 record with 12 points, clawing at the Bruins to take over the North East. They just came off a 6-1 victory over Buffalo on Saturday, and then followed up Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Ottawa, after being embarrassed by the same Ottawa team last Wednesday, 5-1, however starting goalie Carey Price did not play in that loss. The Bruins are coming off of 4 days rest, but at the cost of no Daniel Paille and Shawn Thornton, and with the status of Marchand still in the air. It will be interesting to see if the AHLers step up and if Chris Bourque can continue with Saturday's performance. The Bruins will need to play physical and keep their defensive presence if they want to show Montre...

Will Smith, 'gettin' jiggy wit it' at Habs-Bruins tilt

On Wednesday night, Will Smith made an appearance at the Bell Centre in Montreal for the game between the Canadiens and Bruins.  Why he was in Montreal is uncertain, but he definitely got hooked up with some great seats in a box for the old school Original 6 rivalry.Smith was featured on the big screen and the DJ played one of his old school tracks “Gettin Jiggy With It” over...

Canadiens goalie Carey Price takes puck to the groin during warm-ups (Video)

Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price had a rough start to his night Wednesday as he took a puck in the groin during warm-ups before Wednesday night's game against the Boston Bruins. Price was blocking some warm-up shots from his teammates when center Lars Eller sends a wrist shot right into Price's ding-ding. Price briefly left the ice, but recovered in time to start...

Carey Price Gets Drilled In The Nuts By Pre-Game Shot From Lars Eller

Canadiens goaltender Carey Price had a rough pre-game warmup prior to Wednesday’s Habs-Bruins rivalry matchup, as he got smoked in his reproductive pouch by a shot from teammate Lars Eller. As you would expect from a man who just took a frozen rubber biscuit to the goodies at high-speed, Price doubled over in pain and immediately got the hell out of there, heading straight to the...

The Greatest Bruins Dennis Seidenberg Jersey Ever

There's been many jerseys in the Bruins history that have come and gone and tugged at our heart strings. Many believe that the 1926 Bruins jersey is one of the greatest of all times, and I tend to agree. There's something simplistic about the design that reminds you of a time when players didn't use helmets and people wore suits to games. It was a simpler time in hockey...

Tuukka Rask Faces Onslaught Early, Holds Steady in Bruins’ Win Over Montreal (Video)

When the Bruins head north to Montreal, they know they’re going to have to come with full energy right from the drop of the puck, and that was again the case on Wednesday. During the first 10 minutes especially, the Canadiens brought everything they had against the B’s and goaltender Tuukka Rask in particular. Luckily for Boston their netminder was up to the challenge, putting...

Tuukka's struggles versus the Canadiens

Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask is off to the best start of his young career, sporting a 5-1-1 record, 2.10 goals-against and a .919 save percentage through six games played. Despite those impressive numbers, Rask has had an up-and-down season against the Northeast Division. He's had solid wins against the Rangers and Maple leafs, a gut-check overtime loss versus those same blue shirts...

Shawn Thornton symptom free, doubtful for Habs game

Shawn Thornton was on the ice this morning for the first time since fighting John Scott. He didn't practice with the team but did some skating and working out before the rest of the Bruins hit the ice. From Big Bad Blog: Asked to clarify whether Thornton was part of the group of players potentially eligible to play Wednesday, Julien indicated that Thornton will...

Providence Bruins Take ‘You Can Play’ Pledge in Effort to Help End Homophobia in Sports (Video)

The Providence Bruins have taken the pledge. The P-Bruins became the latest professional sports team to join in the effort to end homophobia in sports, an effort that is being led by the You Can Play Project. The ongoing project, created by Philadelphia Flyers scout Chris Burke (son of former Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke), was built to honor the memory of Chris’ brother...

Tuukka shines in victory over Canadiens

I said coming into the season that Tuukka is the key to the Bruins season. And tonight was a primary example of why. Rask stood on his head over the course of the game and denied countless scoring opportunities that the Canadians had. His play is what kept the game in check and allowed the Bruin's to come out with a much needed W against their rival. The power play continues...

Which Injured Bruins Player’s Absence Will Have the Biggest Impact Against Montreal?

The Bruins might have an edge in the standings as they play Montreal on Wednesday night, but the Canadiens should have a clear edge when it come to the trainer’s table. Boston will be without Brad Marchand, Daniel Paille and Shawn Thornton as they head to the Bell Centre, after a slew of injuries has beset the B’s. Marchand traveled with the team, and even participated with the...

Canadiens-Sabres Preview

The Montreal Canadiens were victimized by a hot goaltender in their last game. Another meeting with the struggling Buffalo Sabres may get the offense going again. The Canadiens look to rebound from a recent defeat as they attempt to beat the Sabres for the second time in less than a week Thursday night. Montreal (6-3-0) is scoring 3.0 goals per game, but the team has totaled that...

Big Bad Bruins?

Line brawl against the Dallas Stars in 2011. Where was this tenacity against the Sabres last Thursday? In order to play at their highest level and be successful, the Big Bad Bruins must be just that, a big, tough, physical team that their opponents fear.  As fans, we have been accustomed to seeing this in recent years as the Bruins are loaded with tough physical players who aren’t...
