Russell scores in debut as Blues win 3-0 (AP)
Brian Elliott stopped 19 shots, and defenseman Kris Russell scored in his St. Louis debut to lead the Blues to a 3-0 win over Tampa Bay on Saturday night. St. Louis improved to 5-0-1 in its last six home games. The Blues have earned five points in three games under new coach Ken Hitchcock, who replaced Davis Payne on Sunday.

The St. Louis Blues added one of new coach Ken Hitchcock's favorites from his former team, acquiring defenseman Kris Russell from the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets received defenseman Nikita Nikitin in the deal, which was announced Friday. The 24-year-old Russell has two goals, an assist and 13 penalty minutes in 12 games with Columbus.
