Walking Wounded?

The most popular foot in all of  North America I’m 100% sure belongs to Henrik Sedin right now.  Will he be able to play soccer pre-game tonight? Sounds like it.

It seems like we’re getting some good news out the frozen tundra today that is Minnesota. The Canucks are letting everyone know that the iron man Vancouver Canucks captain does not have a fracture in his foot.

It is not known if he will be available for Thursday’s game against the Northwest Division rival Minnesota Wild.

He did however take to the ice for the morning skate and is a game time decision.

Dale Weise is also a game time decision.

Sedin, who has played in 552 consecutive regular-season games, told Team 1040 radio that the CT scan he had on Wednesday did not reveal any issue.

The Canucks on Thursday recalled right wing Mike Duco from the American Hockey League.

Both Henrik Sedin & Weise will take warm-up, as will Duco. That is when we expect Sedin to really test his ankle.

We know Hank, Weise, and Duco will take warm-ups tonight in Minnesota.

Hank was hit in the ankle by a shot from Nashville Predators defense-man Kevin Klein in Tuesday’s game. He did return to the game and collected two assists to extend his points streak to four games.

The All-Star center has 11 goals and an NHL-best 46 assists in 53 games this season.

Alain Vigneault split up the twins and rocked Van-City’s world by starting Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin on different lines in the Nashville game. (They still won)

Other Canucks OUT tonight are Chris Higgins (illness) who has missed the last three games, while forward Andrew Ebbett (collarbone) is on injured reserve.

Cory Schneider will get the start in Minnesota tonight. He has split a pair of decisions against Minnesota this season. More recently Roberto Luongo blanked the Wild twice in the span of 17 days. (On Home ice)

We all know all to well how he does in the XCEL Center.

At 18-9-1, Vancouver is tied with the Philadelphia Flyers for the most road victories in the NHL this season.
