Great news for Sabres fans, as Dman Christian Ehrhoff was well enough to play in the game. Ehrhoff was injured on Friday night when he was driven face first into the end wall by an ugly hit-from-behind. Ehrhoff left the game with blood streaming down his right cheek. He suffered a headache for his troubles.
Jamie Benn and the Hamburg Freezers hosted the Krefeld Penguins on Sunday night....

Christian Ehrhoff, who is currently under contract and tearing it up offensively with the Krefeld Penguins, has criticized the owners' rejection of the new offer from the NHLPA.
Ehrhof has scored 8 goals and has added 6 assists in 19 games in his home town. He's +6.

His name is not as common as Golisano or Pegula, but he's a big reason why Buffalo even has a team.
