TJ Brennan made waiting for the MOU, or Memorandum of Understanding, a lot more entertaining on Saturday night by playing a physical and offensive role in what may well be his last game in an Amerks sweater.
Early on in the second period, Brennan received a fighting major for jumping in to protect his teammate Zemgus Girgensons from a brutal hit from behind from Crunch knucklehead, Richard Pa...

Forward Jochen Hecht is returning to play for the Buffalo Sabres after agreeing to a one-year contract, his German professional team has announced.
Hecht has spent this season playing for his hometown team of Adler Mannheim, which posted news of the player's signing with the Sabres on its website Friday. The team said he's prepared to travel to Buffalo on Saturday.
Sabres goalie Ryan Miller is back in Buffalo to rejoin his teammates, eagerly awaiting the start of the regular season, and still upset over the four-month NHL lockout.
Miller, who played a role in labor talks, called the dispute ''stupid'' and ''a useless waste of time.'' He blamed owners, and singled out NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, for prolonging...

At long last, news about Sabres training camp:
The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team will open its week of training camp practices at First Niagara Center to the public, beginning with a night practice and scrimmage on Monday, Jan. 14, at 5:30 p.m. For the remainder of the week, from Tuesday to Friday, practices will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Somewhere along the way, it seems like a lot of us decided that every single thing that the Sabres do - heck, everything that everyone in the NHL does - has some deep, resounding meaning. Â Every decision is a referendum on Sabres management, usually what's wrong with them. Â Maybe all fan bases are like that, but I don't know, it seems like we might be a little worse. Â...

T.J. Brennan is left waiting. He can't skate to Buffalo for training camp until the MOU...
The Quebec Remparts have been good to Mikhail Grigorenko, and vice versa.
He gave them a year and a half of world-class production, and they gave him an opportunity to earn his way into professional hockey. he was drafted 12th overall by the Sabres in the 2012 NHL entry draft.
Its been a symbiotic relationship.
On Friday night at Le Colisee in Quebec City, Grigo skated what may end up...

30) Will the Sabres make the playoffs? YES
This will sound like a broken Jerry Sullivan record, but the goal isn't to just make the playoffs, right? Pegula stated repeatedly that the goal is to win the Cup for the rest of the team's eternity. Also, making the playoffs shouldn't be greeted with a giant "YAAAAAY!" That said, that's where I see the Sabres...
âÂÂIâÂÂve been looking for this day in Buffalo for a long time. Its finally here upon us. I had a lot of fun out there. It was a good skate and we put a lot of hard work into it. Its only Day One, and we have a lot of hard days ahead of usâÂÂ
OttâÂÂs locker is directly to the left of Patrick Kaleta. The chirps and cat calls have already begun in the...
