Detroit (5-1-0) are coming off a 7-1 pasting at DC.  The Wings (playing the tail of a B2B) claim they held their own for the first two periods, and they did outshoot the Caps 26-14 through two frames.  But the score at the end of two was 4-1, and the Wings gave up 7 goals on 25 shots.  Please, do not ever put special and teams in the same sentence. Spin that contest however you want, but ugly comes to mind.  Said Babcock:  “We got humbled so bad (Saturday) I would say that we better be ready to go. When things go like they did the other night you want to put them behind as fast as you can.
