At the beginning of the season, Tim Connolly’s lost offensive production was printed on every milk carton in WNY. An   emergency trade hot-line was established across the NHL in case any GM found Timmy’s magical skills on the other side of the rainbow in his respective city.

But all it took was a puck to redirect off of a beached Chara and Connolly can finally say he lit the lamp for the first time since Dinosaurs roamed the earth!

Last time Connolly was credited for a goal was February 8th against Tampa Bay. In case you were keeping count, that’s 30 days, 720 hours, 43,200 minutes and 2,592,000 seconds! Did you know it takes 27.3 days for the moon to orbit around the earth?

Ok, I’ll stop! But a big congrats goes out to Tim Connolly! He might have lost his offensive touch, but Connolly has been playing his heart out as of late!

Maybe this heartfelt speech is due in part of Sabres newcomer Brad Boyes netting the overtime winner against Boston! Or it could be the fact the Sabres are blessed with a new owner. In Pegula We Trust!

Whatever the case may be, let’s all hope Connolly picks up his game and scores a couple more big goals for Buffalo!
