Sorry, folks, we aren’t going to shed phony tears for the Ghost. Gauthier brought this mess on himself. If he has a warm, cuddly side, he hides it well. In Montreal, Gauthier alienated almost everyone it was possible to alienate, with the possible exception of Bob Gainey: players, coaches, media, fans. The question is: why? What can you possibly gain by treating people like they aren’t fit to lick your shoes? All you do is bring more pressure on yourself, your team, your entire organization.
