Winnipeg Jets defenseman Ron Hainsey is getting antsy. Not only is he anxious to get back to the bargaining table with the NHL, he really wants to be on the ice with his teammates. As part of the negotiating committee for the players' association, Hainsey has kept busy during the lockout by taking part in the ongoing talks with the NHL. But ongoing is now a relative term, because nothing has been going on between the sides since talks broke down again last week, despite the presence of a federal mediator for two days in New Jersey. ''We've said it a number of times, but it's worth repeating: It's obviously very difficult to make a deal if you're not meeting or negotiating,'' Hainsey told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Tuesday. Don’t feel too bad for Winnipeg Jets young star Evander Kane during this lengthy and exasperating NHL lockout, he looks to be doing just fine for himself. Evander Kane tweets pic with bricks of cash

The lockout has nearly claimed the entire 2012-13 season. The owners and players are continually complaining that the other side isn't offering a fair deal and that they are losing a ton of revenue. For a moment, you might even feel a bit of sympathy for one of the sides. That sympathy vanishes when a player like Evander Kane (or Derek Roy and his car) puts everything back in...

Tweeting a picture of yourself from what looks to be a penthouse at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas holding bricks of cash, seems like a great way to get the NHL owners to back down from their demands that the players make less money. This is how we do it #imdifferent twitter.com/EKane9JETS/sta…— Evander Kane (@EKane9JETS) December 19, 2012Hey @floydmayweather pick up your phone...

Winnipeg Jets’ Evander Kane flashes stacks of cash in Twitter pic (PHOTO)

Right about now, NHL players should be doing whatever they can to win back fans so that when the players’ association finally comes to an agreement with the owners, arenas aren’t completely empty.  They have to agree some time, right? Evander Kane, a 21-year old winger for the Winnipeg Jets, apparently isn’t worried about winning back the fans.  Early Wednesday Kane tweeted...

Evander Kane Does Best Floyd Mayweather Jr. Impression, Shows Off Impressive Wad of Cash in Las Vegas (Photo)

Evander Kane doesn’t seem affected by the NHL lockout. That, or he’s a heck of a gambler. On Wednesday morning (around 4:45 a.m. local time), the Jets forward — who was the recipient of a brand-new contract before the lockout — tweeted out a picture of himself holding an impressive amount of cash while standing on a high balcony on the Las Vegas strip. Rocking sweatpants...
