According to Ansar Khan of Mlive.com, Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg has received an offer to play in Switzerland during the NHL lockout but will stay in the area for now. “I’m going to stay for now,” Zetterberg said today, after skating with several teammates at the Troy Sports Center. “We haven’t lost any (regular season) games yet. Once you start to lose games, if you get an offer or get a deal on the table, maybe you think about it.” The deal for Zetterberg from HC Lugano includes $53,000 per month in insurance which will help cover his contract in case of injury. This also includes $2,000 in monthly salary and an apartment. Zetterberg also has no interest playing in his native Sweden due to the insurance and taxes that would entail. “It’s going to be tough to go to Sweden, (because of) the insurance and all the taxes we have there,” Zetterberg said. “But there are other leagues in Europe that you can go to.” Khan notes that currently there are five Red Wings p...
