NY Rangers Blog:
Halloween, or "Halloween" as it's called in Sweden, is a day away. But Henrik Lundqvist is already getting his costume on. And while Henrik could pretty much afford any costume he wants (or walk into any costume store in Sweden and get one for free), he decided to make his own costume. So here's Hank dressed as the Empire State Building. His wife pulls off the "Chrysler Building" look as well.
Nice to know that Henrik is still thinking about his home here in New York. And I'm willing to bet anyone a large sum of money that, after taking the costume off, Henrik's hair still looked perfect.
Rangers prospects Andrew Yogan and Dylan McIlrath decided to dress up as well, though there costume is a little bit more...well...just see for yourself.
Ken Gernander should force Andrew and Dylan (once his knee is healthy) to do windsprints during practice in these costumes. I'll update the blog with any new photos...

First, I hope that everyone who reads this blog and all of your families are safe. Hurricane Sandy did a number on the tri-state area, and it was by far the worst storm we have ever encountered. I had a close call myself, as a tree that is (was) three feet from my bedroom window snapped, and the top half came crashing down, missing my apartment by about five feet. There was also...
David Pagnotta at The Fourth Period reports that Michael Del Zotto has signed with a European club.
Twitter rumors have him signing with Rapperswil of the Swedish league.
...shocked to see him sign on with a team despite not having an NHL contract. Talk about rolling the dice.
...obvious sign that Del Zotto has no confidence that they'll be a season this year.
Carl Hagelin, Oscar Lindberg & Jesper Fasth all named in Sweden squad for upcoming Karjala Cup tournament. Hagelin, Lindberg debut. #NYR

Some AHL kids aren’t putting up points yet.
If you’ve been following the Connecticut Whale, then you’ve noticed that some of the highly touted prospects, including Chris Kreider, aren’t scoring at a pace that some would like to see. Kreider, who is NHL ready, has a line or 1-3-4 through six games, and isn’t even in the top five in scoring on the club. Meanwhile, Kris Newbury...
Jeff Klein at the New York Times reports that, despite earlier reports that he has signed, Michael Del Zotto is still weighing an offer to play with Rapperswil-Jona Lakers of the Swiss N.L.A.
Del Zotto has until tomorrow to accept the offer...
“Nothing is signed, and Michael is considering,” Del Zotto's agent Mark Guy said. “The offer from this club is good for...

...nope don't want to see Nash doing this in a Rangers jersey right now.

Hockey Expressen reports that Carl Hagelin injured his shoulder during Sodertalje's 4-2 victory yesterday.
He was forced to leave the game in the third period, but the injury is said to be not that serious.
...i'd normally be ripping Bettman a new one right now, but to be honest, after seeing all the destruction and devastation from Hurricane Sandy the last few days...
