No longer a young goaltender, the Chicago Blackhawks are starting to rely heavily on Corey Crawford in net. All the pieces are there for the Blackhawks with outstanding scoring talent and solid defense, but goaltending has been a problem ever since winning the Stanley Cup. Even rumors of acquiring Roberto Luongo popped up last season.
So far this season, Crawford has held up to his expectations having winning six of eight games and yet to lose a game in regulation. Crawford was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2003 in Nashville, being a part of the amazing draft class that are now super stars of the NHL.
At 6'2", Crawford plays big in his net. Watching Pekka Rinne, who's 6'5", and Corey Crawford when they're between the pipes, many would believe they're the same height. Crawford isn't forced to come out as much due to his height, but when he does, there is little room to shoot that only a sniper...

Lady Byng Leader
As the NHL season is nearing the quarter-mark, I am trying to make picks for the awards that I have yet to address. Today I am looking at the Lady Byng Trophy. I think our leader right now is Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks. He is the second highest scorer in the NHL with 18 points. He is playing a sportsmanlike game with only two penalty minutes so far this year...

New pictures are posted from last night's game at the SlapShot Radio Facebook page.
Letâs start off with this. The Chicago Blackhawks are playing some excellent hockey right now. They are the best team in the Western Conference. It is an undeniable fact that was on display in front of a sold out Bridgestone Arena last night. The Blackhawks have finished the first 12...
Blackhawks-Predators Preview
Patrick Kane's red-hot play has only added to the Chicago Blackhawks' tremendous start to the season.
The star right wing's production may be even more vital against the stingy Nashville Predators.
The Blackhawks will attempt to remain the only team without a regulation loss Sunday night when they close a six-game trip against the Predators.
Kane is among the NHL&...

The Predators will play host to the unbeaten-in-regulation Chicago Blackhawks in the second game of a weekend double header. Nashville was in Minnesota last night where they lost in overtime on a controversial refereeing decision. The Blackhawks are 9-0-2 and first overall in the league. They also had a rest day yesterday while Nashville fought hard in...
Game 12: Chicago @ Nashville – Predators Seeing Red

Coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild, the Predators are most likely not pleased with both their performance and the way the game ended as well. However, having a short memory is key in a shortened season as they make their way back to the friendly confines of Bridgestone Arena to faceoff against the Chicago Blackhaws...
