NEW YORK Tampa Bay Lightning forward Martin St. Louis took a puck to the face at the team's morning skate before their Thursday night game against the New York Rangers, putting the six-time All-Star and former Hart Trophy award winner's 499-game streak in jeopardy. A puck off the stick of Bolts center Dominic Moore struck St. Louis in the left eye as he circled behind the net during drills at Madison Square Garden Thursday morning. St. Louis was helped from the ice by a trainer and taken to the nearby NYU Medical Center, where he is being treated. St. Louis' condition is currently unknown. His status for Thursday night's game which would be his 500th straight is questionable. St. Louis has not missed a game for the Lightning since a shootout loss to the Washington Capitals on Nov. 15, 2005. During St. Louis' streak, the Lightning have gone 225-214-60 and reached the playoffs three times, including a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals last season. The Lightning are 11-14-2 so far this season and are looking to snap a five-game losing streak against the Rangers. The Rangers are 15-6-3 heading into Thursday night's game.
