NY Rangers Blog:
In an effort to add size to their line-up, Arthur Staple at Newsday reports that the Islanders have replaced David Ullstrom with 6' 1", 225lb Eric Boulton for tonight's game vs. the Rangers.
Boulton is scoreless in five games this season, while Ullstrom has 2g, 3a in 12 games.
Capuano wants more size in lineup tonight, felt #Isles were outmuscled last week here vs. #NYR. Would expect Ullstrom back vs. NJ on Sat.

...please don't tell me this is the reason Boyle is in the Rangers lineup over Kreider tonight.
...got to love the Islanders. Team is struggling to score goals and they take one of the few guys with multiple goals out of their line-up for someone who hasn't been on the scoresheet this season. Nice work.

Well not exactly the New York Islanders but rather their prospects on Wednesday evening struck back in the best way they could which was on the ice. One Islander prospect got his ticket punched for the playoffs and others had strong performances.
Ryan Strome (NYI 2011 1st) must like using the Erie Otters to fatten his stats as Strome with a 2-1-3 effort...
Well I was hoping for a Valentine's Day massacre, but this fight between Eric Boulton and Arron Asham was pretty even. Both players landed their fair share of punches and both skated away pretty unblemished.
The Islanders got the last laugh and came away with the victory 4-3 over the Rangers. Fight video is below.

(New York Islanders)
I am pretty sure that this is not going to win me new friends among New York Islander fans because most will accuse me of being a New York Ranger fan who is blinded by being a fan. Sorry that is not the case here because in covering Islander prospects over the last couple of years I am more a fan of the prospects than I am either the Rangers or the Islanders...
Eric Boulton has a job to do. Arron Asham doesn’t shy away from a fight. The two pugilists shared some love on Valentine’s Day with an old fashioned early first period brawl during the Islanders 4-3 win.
The Rangers bench likes it.
Boulton checks for a bloody nose. No blood.
Life goes on.

... first off, sorry for the late recap. Bad night for the Rangers, even worse for TheNYRBlog. My kids have had the flu all week and it hit me last night, while Adam, who was going to fill-in, lost internet access. Just a complete cluster...
