The New York Islanders lost defenseman Thomas Hickey to a lower-body injury in the second period of their game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
Hickey played three shifts in the second period before leaving with 15:30 remaining after blocking a shot and limping to the bench. He had played nine shifts totaling 6:47 in the first period.
